Greenville University put together a record-setting day at the 2022 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Men's Track and Field Championship. The Panthers compiled 339 points to win their third consecutive conference championship. That point total surpassed the previous mark of 228, which they set in 2020.

The Panthers won 11 of 13 individual events and added an additional win in the distance medley. Four different Panthers won multiple golds: Dylan Webster, Nate Brown, CJ Anderson, and Kaleb Carlson.

"We have had stronger teams at the top but the depth of this team, scoring 229 points outside of first-place finishers, is super encouraging," said Greenville head coach Brian Patton. "In 15 total contested events, we had eight second-place finishes, six third-place finishes, five fourth-place finishes, eight fifth-place, and four sixth-place finishes. I went back and looked and the individual event we scored the least, was the men's 400 where we "only" scored 17 points. I sometimes refer to the group as marines because we can storm the beach and keep coming."

CJ Anderson took home gold in the top two sprint events, winning the 60-meter dash in a time of 6.90 and the 200-meter dash in 22.69 seconds. Kaleb Carlson won the 1 Mile Run with a time of 4:29.66, shattering the previous championship record by nearly five seconds, and won the 3000 Meter Run. Nate Brown returned to the top of the podium in both the shot put and weight throw with championship record throws. Dylan Webster was a multiple gold medal winner, capturing first in both the long jump and triple jump.

Collin Kessinger won his second career gold in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:59. Hunter Matthews won his third consecutive high jump at the championships, marking 6'2.75". Wesley Kile repeated as the pole vault champion with a height of 13'5". The Panthers also added gold in the Distance Medley with Jeremiah Perry, Noel Andino, Ray Dagner, and Osvaldo Espinoza finishing in 12:39.91.

Corey Carter grabbed gold for Principia College in the 400-meter dash, finishing in a championship record 51.09 seconds, besting his teammate Mitchell Gill who placed 2nd. The Panthers also picked up gold in the 4x400 Meter Relay thanks to the team of Gill, Carter, Josh Aleman, and Juniour Baraza. Principia finished with 67 total points, finishing 2nd overall, their highest finish in program history at indoors.

Webster University claimed the only other remaining gold, winning the 60-meter hurdles where Armond Williams finished in 9.28 seconds. The Gorloks finished with 58 total points, good for 3rd place.

Westminster College finished 4th with 19 points. DeAndre White led the Blue Jays with his 2nd place showing in the shot put.

Spalding University was 5th a team with 17 points. Noah McClellan finished 2nd in the 1 Mile Run and 3rd in the 3000 Meter Run to account for 14 of his team's points.

Fontbonne University rounded out the team scoring with 8 points. KeYonn Hall-Baker picked up 6 points for the Griffins with his 3rd place finish in the high jump.

Javy Garcia was the lone competitor for the Eureka College men's program, finishing 12th in the 1-mile race with a time of 5:14.23.
