Panthers Roll in All-Conference Selections

Greenville University dominated the 2022 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field All-Conference awards, with 35 competitors earning All-Conference honors including three taking home top individual awards.

The SLIAC Field Athlete of the Year is Dylan Webster, from Greenville University. Webster competed in five events on the day, winning gold in both the long jump and triple jump. He also picked up a silver in the pole vault and 60-meter hurdles and competed in the high jump. 

This year's Athlete of the Year is CJ Anderson, from Greenville. Anderson grabbed two golds, winning the 60-meter dash in 6.90 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 22.47 seconds. His time in the 60-meter dash was a championship record and he becomes the first Panther to win the Indoor Athlete of the Year award.

Jordan Peternel continued the Panthers run on individual awards, being named the Field Newcomer of the Year. The freshman finished in second place in the triple jump with a mark of 42'4". 

Noah McClelland became the first Golden Eagle to win a top individual award, being chosen as the Indoor Track Athlete of the Year. McClelland picked up a pair of medals on the day, finishing 2nd in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:32.09 and 3rd in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:22.89.

The Greenville University coaching staff was selected as the SLIAC Coaching Staff of the Year after the Panthers put up a championship record 339 points, shattering the previous record by over 100 points, and winning its third consecutive SLIAC Indoor Championship.
