Three From Greenville Earn All-Region Honors

Three athletes from Greenville University have been named All-Region honorees for the 2022 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

CJ Anderson was named All-Region in the 60-meter dash while Nate Brown earned the honor in the weight throw. Cayden Sharp was a multiple honoree, receiving All-Region recognition in both the pentathlon and high jump.

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top three relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.

A total of seven programs had 25 or more All-Region honors: SUNY Geneseo's women with 38, Johns Hopkins' women with 37, MIT's men with 32, Carnegie Mellon's men with 28, SUNY Geneseo's men with 28, UW-Oshkosh's men with 27 and Williams' women with 27. All told, SUNY Geneseo led the overall combined count with 66, which was 13 more than Johns Hopkins with 53. MIT was the only other program with more than 50, while Williams (48), Carnegie Mellon (46), Mount Union (45), and Emory (43) each hauled in more than 40.
