Goodyear Leads SLIAC Competitors at Nationals

Dylan Goodyear led the list of competitors from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference at this year's NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Goodyear was the highest finisher among five individuals from the SLIAC competing over the weekend. 

Goodyear, a senior at Greenville University, placed 9th in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase; just missing out on All-America honors. Goodyear finished with a time of 9:06.77, setting a new school record. Goodyear's teammates C.J. Anderson and Nate Brown also competed over the weekend.

Anderson finished 15th in the preliminaries in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.70 seconds while Brown placed 18th overall in the shot put with a mark of 46'0.75". 

Principia College's Corey Carter raced in the 200-meter dash, finishing 19th with a time of 21.55 seconds. 

Cayden Sharp was the lone female competitor from the SLIAC. The Panther finished 11th in the heptathlon, totaling 4560 points. 

The Greenville 4x100 relay team did not mark after disqualifying in the preliminaries.
