Webster and Perez Top All-Conference Team

Dylan Webster and Elijah Perez top the list of 2022 SLIAC Men's Track and Field All-Conference recipients. Webster was named the Field Athlete of the Year while Perez took home Track Athlete of the Year honors.

Webster, from Greenville University, took home five individual medals over the weekend. The junior finished first in both the high jump and long jump, adding silver in the 110 hurdles and pole vault, and a bronze in the triple jump. The five medals tie a conference championship record for most medals at one championship. 

Perez, from Webster University, left the weekend with two individual medals and two more team medals. He finished second in the 400-meter dash and 200-meter dash and was part of the Gorloks relay teams where he collected silver in the 4x100 and bronze in the 4x400. 

Principia College's Tobin Blair was named the SLIAC Field Newcomer of the Year. Blair, a freshman, won gold in the javelin with a throw of 165'0" and also competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase. 

The Track Newcomer of the Year goes to Greenville's Chase LaTouche. LaTouche picked up bronze in the 400-meter dash and was also part of the Panthers' two gold medal-winning relay teams. 

Webster University received the SLIAC Team Sportsmanship award for the second straight year. A complete list of 2022 SLIAC All-Conference honorees is listed below.
