Massner Joins 1,000 Point Club For Tigers

 The Tiger Women's Basketball team played host to the Greenville University Panthers tonight for another SLIAC match up. Iowa Wesleyan tried to battle back in the second half, but could not overtake the Panthers. Iowa Wesleyan dropped the game, 55-74.

Allie Massner (SR/Mediapolis, IA) etched her name in the IW record books tonight, reaching 1,000 points for her career. Prior to the game, Massner was at 975. At the half, Massner only had 8 total points. Massner drained 5 3-pointers in the second half, going 7-10 from the field, to add 20 more points to her total. The 1,000th point came from a free throw, the second of two awarded to Massner after being fouled on a shot.

Massner also led the Tigers with 7 rebounds. Sydney Farrar (FR/Charlotte, ME) recorded 3 steals. Maddie Williamson (FR/Mt. Pleasant, IA) added 4 assists.

IW was able to shoot 39.2% from the field, 42.9% behind the arc, and 60% from the free-throw line.

The Tigers hit the road this Saturday as they head to MacMurray College to face the Highlanders. The Women's game will tip-off at 1:00 pm and the Men's game will follow at 3:00 pm.
