Men's Basketball Player of the Week
 

Jordan Clay, Webster University

Clay, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in two conference wins last week for the Gorloks. Clay scored a career-high 26 points against Greenville, adding 10 rebounds and 7 assists in the game. He followed that with 17 points and 7 rebounds against MacMurray. On the week Clay shot 71-percent from the field, going 20-of-28 and added three steals.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
 

Jaysea Morgan, Webster University

Morgan, a senior from Fisk, Missouri, helped the Gorloks stay in first place in the SLIAC standings with a pair of conference wins last week. Morgan was pivotal on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball; averaging 19.5 points and 5.5 steals per game on the week. She put up a career-high 25 points against Greenville, adding 7 steals, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in the game. She followed with 14 points and 4 steals against MacMurray. On the week Morgan shot 65-percent from the field and was 12-of-14 from the free-throw line.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week  
 

Wisdom Thomas, Principia College

Thomas, a sophomore from Elsah, Illinois, put together a record-breaking outing last weekend at the Principia Relays. Thomas broke the school record in the triple jump with a mark of 44'3.1" which was good for 2nd place overall at the meet. He added another 2nd place finish in the long jump, with a distance of 22'7.6", which was the third-best distance in program history. 

Men's Track Athlete of the Week  
 

Joseph Souvannarath, Webster University

Souvannarath ran his way to this week's award after taking 3rd place in the 60-meter hurdle at last weekend's Engineer Invitational. Souvannarath, a junior from Imperial, Missouri, finished in a time of 8.91 seconds which was a personal best time. That mark was also a school record and he currently leads the conference. 

Women's Field Athlete of the Week  
 

Miranda Green, Webster University

Green picks up her second straight weekly award after notching another 1st place finish. Last weekend Green, a senior from Joplin, Missouri, placed 1st in the shot put at the Engineer Invitational. Her distance of 39'3.6" was a school record and good enough to put her atop the SLIAC leaderboard. She also placed 7th in the weight throw with a mark of 41'2.8". 

Women's Track Athlete of the Week  
 

Danielle Schultz, Webster University

Schultz, a freshman from Swansea, Illinois, took home a second-place finish at the Engineer Invitational over the weekend. Schultz competed in the 800-meter race, finishing in a time of 2:29 which places her atop the early conference leaderboard. The time was also the third-fastest time in program history.

  • Dakota Bennington, Eureka College (Men's Basketball) Recorded his sixth 30 point game of the season with 32 points against Westminster.
  • Nate Brown, Greenville University (Men's Track and Field) Finished 1st in the weight throw at the Principia Relays.
  • Olivia Falls, Eureka College (Women's Basketball) Scored 30 points against Westminster, one game after grabbing a career-high 17 rebounds against Principia.
  • Sierra Howardson, Iowa Wesleyan University (Women's Track and Field) Broke the school record for the indoor mile with a time of 5:59, besting the previous mark by over 22-seconds.
  • Anthony Jones, Fontbonne University (Men's Basketball) Scored a career-high 47 points against Greenville.
  • Dane Thomas, Spalding University (Men's Track and Field) Took first place in the 5000 meters at the AU Indoor Invitational. 
  • Raven Venegas, Fontbonne University (Women's Basketball) Averaged 14.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in two wins for the Griffins last week.
  • Maddie Williamson, Iowa Wesleyan University (Women's Basketball) Career-high 26 points while recording 7 rebounds and 5 steals against Westminster.
  • Hunter Wright, Spalding University (Women's Basketball) Averaged 19.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in two games last week while shooting 84-percent from the field.
