Men's Basketball Player of the Week | ||
Logan Dorethy, MacMurray College Dorethy opens the 2019-20 season as the SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. The sophomore center led MacMurray to an 88-87 win over Central Christian in the Highlanders season-opening game. Dorethy put up 18 points, shooting 9-of-17 from the field while grabbing 16 rebounds. He also added three assists and one steal in the win.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week | ||
Lexie Black, Blackburn College Black is the first weekly award winner for the 2019-20 season after helping Blackburn College to their first 2-0 start to the season since 1996-97. Black, a sophomore from Belleview, Mo., averaged 17.5 points in the two wins, shooting 47-percent from the field. She scored 15 points in the Beavers season-opening win over Alverno, going 9-of-11 from the free-throw line. She also added three rebounds and two assists in the win. The next day she scored 20 points, on 6-of-11 shooting, chipping in four rebounds. On the week she averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. |
