The SLIAC Game of the Week returns this week with the start of conference play in women's basketball. One of the opening week's top match-ups is between Blackburn College and Eureka College, the only two teams in women's basketball without a losing record. Blackburn College 'BEAVERS'      

After opening the season with two straight wins for the first time since the 1996-97 season the Beavers have dropped each of their last two games. Blackburn is averaging 61.5 points per game on offense and focus on working the ball inside. They are shooting just 36-percent from the field but get to the free-throw line nearly 25 times per game, 2nd most in the league, and average 17.8 made free-throws per game. They also rank 5th in the SLIAC with 11.0 offensive rebounds per game and are 2nd in total rebounds (41.3). Jenna Dudra leads the team at 14.0 points and 3.3 assists per game and is shooting 44-percent from the field. Savannah Kruse averages 13.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while Megan Lindzy is averaging 7.8 points per game and has connected a team-leading five three-pointers.

Eureka College 'RED DEVILS'      

Eureka sits at 3-2 on the season, having dropped two straight games. They are 2nd in the SLIAC in scoring at 79.2 points per game and lead the league with 23.2 free-throws made per game. The Red Devils also lead the league at 48.8 rebounds per game and are second in steals (12.6). Ashley Harfst leads the team at 17.4 points per game while also averaging 10.6 rebounds per game. Olivia Falls is one of the league's top inside threats, averaging 16.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game while ranking 2nd in field goal percentage. Whitney Bozarth (12.2 ppg) and Jadyn Mitchell (11.2 ppg) are also both averaging in double figures scoring. Kennedy Dura is a four-year starter that is averaging 5.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.
