Westminster to Face Host Chicago

Westminster College will face host University of Chicago in its first-round match of the 2019 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship. Westminster, 19-8 overall this season, captured the automatic bid from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference by winning the conference tournament this past weekend. It marks the Blue Jays' first appearance in the national tournament since 1998.

Chicago is making its third consecutive trip to the national tournament, hosting for a second straight season. The Maroons went 26-3 overall this season, earning a Pool C at-large berth into the tournament. 

Chicago and Westminster will play on Friday at 6 p.m. Other schools appearing in the regional hosted by Chicago are Carthage College, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Grinnell College, Otterbein University, Washington University-St. Louis, and the University of Wisconsin-Whitehead.
