Westminster's Vislay Surpasses 1,000-Career Points

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster College senior Jake Vislay (Jefferson City, Mo./Helias) scored 21 points to surpass the 1,000-point plateau in leading the Blue Jays to an 89-68 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over Blackburn College Thursday (Jan. 6) in Fulton.

Vislay, who leads the team in scoring at 16.8 points a game, has now scored 1,007 career points in less than three seasons, becoming just the 17th Westminster male to reach that mark. But, Vislay was not the only reason the Blue Jays improved to 7-6 overall and 4-0 in SLIAC play. Sophomore Skylar Tolson (Columbia, Mo./Rock Bridge) finished with 21 points, senior Justin Gilmore (Jefferson City, Mo./Jefferson City) finished with 13 points and a game-high eight rebounds, and junior Dan Hohenstein (Fenton, Mo./Lutheran South) contributed 12 points in downing Blackburn (1-9, 0-4 SLIAC).
