Endicott and Edwards Make Mark In Webster Record Book
Webster basketball players Cassie Endicott (JR, Bethalto,
IL/Civic Memorial HS) and Hollis Edwards (SR, Nashville,
TN/McGavock HS) are making their marks in the Webster record books
this season. Endicott has taken the crown as the all-time
women's leader in blocked shots while Edwards is closing in on the
career steal record.
With four blocked shots vs. Principia College on January 16 at
Grant Gymnasium, Endicott upped her career total to 119, slipping
by Mikki McCune (1994-97) into the number one spot on the all-time
list in just her junior year. Endicott is averaging 2.31
blocks per game on the season, ranking her 34th in the NCAA
III.
Edwards 47 steals so far this season has moved him up to third on
Webster's career all-time high list with 158 total. He is 13
steals away from breaking Webster Hall of Famer Dan Thoman's
(1987-90) career mark of 170. Edwards is third in the NCAA
III this season with a 3.36 steals per game average.
Another Gorlok who is making a dent in the Webster record books is
senior Courtney Pursley (Lonedell, MO/St. Clair HS). With 125
rebounds so far in 2013-14, Pursley has padded her career total to
476, good enough for sixth place on Webster women's all-time
list.
