MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Greenville College's Alan Hollingsworth, a sophomore from Monticello, Ill., has been named the Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of September 20-26.

Hollingsworth ran a personal best time of 26:16 at the Brissman/Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana University (Ill.). He beat his previous personal best by 1:45 and placed 49th out of 375 total runners competing on the 8K course. Greenville finished in sixth place out of 26 total teams.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Greenville College's Michelle Sutton, a senior from Springport, Mich. (Jackson), has been named the Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of September 20-26. This marks the second time this season that she has earned the honor.

Sutton placed eighth out of 335 runners competing at the Brissman/Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana University (Ill.). She posted a 6K time of 22:19, an all-time best performance by a Greenville women's cross country runner and also a personal best for Sutton. The Panthers finished 16th out of 24 total teams.

MEN'S SOCCER - OFFENSIVE
Webster University's Clint Carder, a sophomore from DeSoto, Mo., has been named the Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 20-26. This marks the second time this season that he has earned the honor.

Carder, a forward, scored the game-winning goal in a 4-2 victory versus Millikin University. There were only three minutes remaining on the clock and Carder directed a free kick taken from center field into the net with a header. Webster extended their current unbeaten streak to five games with the win.

WOMEN'S SOCCER - OFFENSIVE
Webster University's Megan Niederschulte, a senior from St. Louis, Mo. (Pattonville), has been named the Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 20-26.

Niederschulte, a forward, scored both goals in a 2-1 victory versus Carroll University (Wis.). She scored a goal with two minutes left in regulation to tie the score at 1-1. In the second overtime period, Niederschulte netted the game-winner at the 103:35 mark to give the Gorloks the win. The second goal also marked the 50th of Niederschulte's career.

WOMEN'S SOCCER - DEFENSIVE
Principia College's Carlie Sanderude, a freshman from Ridgefield, Conn., has been named the Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 20-26.

Sanderude, a midfielder, helped the Panthers record their second shutout this season with a 7-0 win versus Eureka College. Usually a center midfielder, Sanderude was shifted to the right back position due to injuries on Principia's defensive backline. She also scored Principia's first goal of the game off a corner kick.

"Carlie [Sanderude] had to quickly adjust her attacking mannerisms and discipline herself to stay at home," commented Principia head coach Lee Ellis. "Her speed and heads-up play made it nearly impossible for Eureka to attack down the right side. She is a very versatile player, and her willingness to play a new position allowed us to keep formation and hold our opponent scoreless."

VOLLEYBALL - OFFENSIVE
Webster University's Mary Jo Schweitzer, a senior from Chesterfield, Mo. (Parkway Central), has been named the Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 20-26.

Schweitzer, an outside hitter, recorded 25 total kills, 26 total digs and had a .404 attack percentage in three matches played last week. She recorded a double-double with 12 digs and 10 digs in a 3-0 loss to Millikin University. She was one kill shy of a double-double in a 3-1 loss to Lincoln Christian University; Schweitzer had nine kills and 14 digs in the loss.

VOLLEYBALL - DEFENSIVE
Westminster College's Megan Boschert, a freshman from St. Louis, Mo. (Rosati Kain), has been named the Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 20-26.

Boschert, a libero, recorded 17 digs in back-to-back matches last week, as the Blue Jays went 1-1 on the week. She had 17 digs and four service aces in a 3-0 victory versus MacMurray College. Boschert then tallied 17 digs and two service aces in a 3-0 loss to Illinois College.
