Two Westminster Men's Soccer Players Named Academic All-District

Fulton, Mo. - Westminster College senior Jeff Chacko and sophomore Graham Lloyd have been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VII Men's Soccer Team, as announced Tuesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Chacko is a first team selection and Lloyd was named to the second team.

In order to be selected to an academic all-district team, a student-athlete must demonstrate success on the playing field and in the classroom. A student-athlete must compile at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and be at least a sophomore in academic standing.

Chacko, a senior midfielder from Little Rock, Arkansas (Catholic), is a four-year letter winner and a starter since his freshman season. He is a Dean's List student and a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society. He is an academic all-conference selection, a team captain this season, and he scored five goals, led the team with six assists and tied for the lead with two game-winning goals. As a first-team all-district selection, Chacko will appear on the Academic All-American ballot, which will be voted on and announced Tuesday, November 16.

Lloyd, a sophomore midfielder from Columbia, Missouri (Hickman), is a two-year starter. He is a Dean's List student, and scored five goals, three assists and recorded one game-winning goal this season. Lloyd helped lead the Blue Jay men to a 12-6-1 record this year which tied the school record for wins in a season.
