The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week for September 27, 2021.

Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
   

Aamahn Murvin, Webster University

Murvin notches his third weekly award this season after helping the Gorloks pick up two more conference victories last week. The senior forward tallied a goal in each of his teams' wins. He scored in the 57th minute to extend his team's lead in a 2-0 win over Spalding. He followed with the game-winner in a 2-1 win over Fontbonne, scoring in the 84th minute. 

     
Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
   

Tavis Cameron, Webster University

Cameron continues the run of Gorlok defenders to take home the weekly award this season. The junior defender was part of a backline that allowed just one goal in two games this week with just six shots on goal. Cameron also added the game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over Spalding, his second career goal.

     
Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
   

Caroline Neal, Fontbonne University

The senior recorded five total points in two games, helping the Griffins to a pair of conference wins. She scored two goals in helping her team jump out to a commanding lead over Westminster in a 3-1 win, including notching the game-winner. Neal followed by setting up her team's first goal against Webster, sparking a 3-2 come from behind win. 

     
Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
   

Olivia Bosch, Spalding University

Bosch was impressive in her first collegiate starts, recording back-to-back shutouts. The freshman stopped all 10 shots she faced on the week and is tied for the conference lead in shutouts this season. Bosch picked up 9 saves in a 1-0 win over Webster and an additional save in a 4-0 win over Eureka.

     
Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week
   

Jasmin Smith, Greenville University

Smith helped the Panthers to a sweep of conference foes last week. The senior outside hitter tallied 16 kills in her two matches, hitting .361 on the week with just three errors. She had 6 kills in a win over Eureka and the next night put down 10 kills. Smith also added six aces on the week and averaged 5.3 digs per set while totaling 23 points on the week.

     
Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
   

Chasity Hill, Greenville University

Hill wins her second straight award after leading the Panther defensive efforts in two conference wins last week. The junior totaled 37 digs in her two matches, averaging 6.17 digs per set. She had a high of 24 digs in a sweep of Eureka and followed with 13 more in a sweep of Blackburn. Hill also added 10 assists and 1 kill.

     

Other Notables:

  • Luke Atkinson, Blackburn College (Soccer) Scored two of his team's three goals, including the game-winner, in a 3-2 win over Principia. 
  • Jadyn Fitzgerald, Fontbonne University (Volleyball) Had a pair of double-doubles with a high of 13 kills and 16 digs.
  • Sarah Richards, Spalding University (Volleyball) Recorded 30 digs in a four-set loss to Centre.
  • Baeli Young, Spalding University (Soccer) Buried the golden goal in the 98th minute of a 1-0 win over Webster.
