Diamond Sports Baseball Hitter of the Week
   

Ben Swords, Webster University

Swords led the Gorlok offense to three wins on the weekend, scoring 26 runs combined. The senior had two hits in all three games, finishing the week with a .500 batting average. He also drove in seven including a three-RBI game against Benedictine. On the week Swords finished with a .833 slugging percentage and two runs scored with one home run, seven RBI, and two steals.

Diamond Sports Pitcher of the Week  
   

Nathan Garard, Eureka College

Garard notched a win over Knox, coming up two outs shy of a no-hitter. The junior hurler worked 8 1/3 innings, allowing one run on one hit while striking out 14 and walking just two. His strikeout total was the most by a Red Devil since 2018. 

Softball Hitter of the Week
 

Madi Case, Greenville University

Case receives her second straight award after a red-hot week at the plate. The freshman hit .778 while driving in four in a double header against Franklin. She was 2-for-4 in the series opener and followed with a 5-for-5 outing in which she scored four times and drove in three. She finished the day 7-for-9 with two doubles and five runs scored.

Softball Pitcher of the Week
   

Melissa Bernal, Greenville University

For the second straight week, Bernal is the Pitcher of the Week. A freshman, she picked up the win as Greenville topped Franklin 15-3 in the second game of a double header. Bernal worked 6 innings, scattering 7 hits and three runs while striking out one. 

Men's Tennis Player of the Week
   

Daniel Gomez, Principia College

A second straight weekly honor for Gomez, he was undefeated on the week with wins at #1 singles and #1 doubles over Millikin. Gomez won 6-2, 6-4 in singles play and added an 8-5 win in doubles with his partner William Johnson.

Women's Tennis Player of the Week
 

Erin Brezovar, Webster University

A perfect week for Brezovar led to her weekly honor. the junior went 4-0 with two wins in both singles and doubles play. She blanked her opponent from Mississippi University for Women and followed with a 4-6, 7-5, 10-1 come from behind win against Rhodes. She also partnered with Bailey Higgins in doubles for an 8-0 and an 8-5 win.

  • Jack Adler, Principia College (Baseball) Was 7-for-10 in a three-game series against Olivet.
  • Alek Elges, Webster University (Baseball) Threw 5 1/3 innings, allowing just two hits while striking out five.
  • Matt Helm, Fontbonne University (Baseball) Hit .462 and drove in 6 in four games.
  • Matthew McDowell, Spalding University (Baseball) Went 5-for-6 with 3 RBI in a doubleheader against Wooster.
