Diamond Sports Baseball Hitter of the Week
   

Michael Speck, Spalding University

Speck picks up the weekly award after hitting .636 with a home run and 7 RBI over four games last week, which included three Golden Eagle wins. The senior outfielder had a pair of multi-hit games including a four-hit outing in the series finale against Blackburn. He also scored seven times and drew seven walks, finishing with a .789 on-base percentage on the week.

Diamond Sports Pitcher of the Week  
   

Nick Glaser, Fontbonne University

Glaser notched his 6th consecutive win in a 4-0 shutout over Eureka. Glaser worked 8 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out 13 and walking none. The 13 strikeouts are a new career-high for the sophomore pitcher.

Softball Hitter of the Week
 

Mia Boyd, Greenville University

Boyd knocked two more runs, hitting .714 with 12 RBI in four games for the Panthers last week. The freshman had a hit in all four games including three multi-hit games. She scored six times and finished with a 1.214 slugging percentage. 

Softball Pitcher of the Week
  Sam Foppe, Fontbonne University

Foppe picked up her second win this season after shutting down Blackburn for a 4-0 win. Foppe threw all 7 innings, limiting the Beavers to just two hits while striking out a season-high nine and walking none.

Women's Tennis Player of the Week    
 

Gaby Quintero, Principia College

Quintero was undefeated last week, picking up a pair of singles wins and pair of doubles wins. Playing at #2 singles, she rallied for a 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 win over Greenville and followed with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Webster. She also teamed up with Kelsie Huss for a pair of wins at #2 doubles.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week    
 

Wesley Kile, Greenville University

The sophomore competed in a pair of events at the Greenville Select meet, picking up a 3rd place showing in the pole vault. His height of 15'1" set a school record, becoming the first Panther to clear 15 feet in program history.

Men's Track Athlete of the Week    
 

Dylan Goodyear, Greenville University

Goodyear had an impressive showing in the 3000 steeplechase, finishing in 9:16.11; setting a school record. That is the 12th best time in D3 this season. He also placed 9th in the 1500-meter race with a time of 4:04.37.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week    
 

Tawny Rodriguez, Greenville University

Rodriquez picked up a pair of first-place finishes at the Greenville Select Meet. She placed 1st in the shot put with a mark of 41'10" and in the discus with a 132'5". She also finished 9th in the hammer throw. 

Women's Track Athlete of the Week
 

Olivia Mansfield, Greenville University

Mansfield put together a SLIAC best time of 4:59.30 in the 1500-meter race, finishing 6th at the Greenville Select Meet. That time was 19-seconds faster than her previous season-best time. She also was part of the 4x400 meter relay team.

  • Quin Adelson, Westminster College (Baseball) Went 4-for-4 with 2 home runs in the series opener against Greenville.
  • Evan Evola, Webster University (Baseball) Hit .714 over three games for the Gorloks last week, driving in five.
  • Mitchell Gill, Principia College (Track and Field) Took 2nd in the 400-meters, setting a personal best time of 49.49 seconds.
  • Matt Helm, Fontbonne University (Baseball) Had six hits, including two home runs, in a three-game series against Eureka.
  • Dylan Hill, Eureka College (Baseball) Was 3-for-5 with 4 RBI against Knox.
  • Peyton Hood, Spalding University (Baseball) Struck out 5 in 4 1/3 scoreless innings.
  • Sheyla Iniguez, Webster University (Softball) Extended on-base streak to 23 games, picking up a hit in all six games last week.
  • Noach McClellan, Spalding University (Track and Field) Placed 1st in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:55.88 at the Bearcast Twilight Invitational.
  • J.T. Miller, Webster University (Baseball) Picked up a win, going 5 innings and striking out 11 against Principia.
  • Raelyn Payne, Eureka College (Softball) Set the program record with her 28th stolen base this season.
  • Victoria Shedron, Spalding University (Track and Field) Placed 2nd in the 3000 meters at the Bearcat Twilight Invitational.
  • Jessica Tucker, Spalding University (Softball) Hit .583 with 7 RBI for Spalding.
