Westminster (Mo.) Baseball Coach Announces Resignation

FULTON, Mo. – Westminster College head baseball coach Scott Pritchard has announced his resignation, effective at the conclusion of the 2011 spring season.

Pritchard joined the Westminster athletic department staff as baseball coach in 1999 after serving as head coach at Wisconsin-Stevens Point for three years. Pritchard guided the Blue Jays to back-to-back St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles and NCAA Division III national tournament appearances in his first two seasons, earning SLIAC Coach of the Year twice. He is 207-196 over the past 11 seasons at Westminster and he stands 298-229 in his 14-year head coaching career entering this season.

Pritchard earned undergraduate degrees in economics and physical education at Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1993. After graduation he served as an assistant baseball coach at Stevens Point for three seasons, the head coach for three seasons, and then came to Westminster.
