Glixman Twins Earn Jewish Sports Review All-American Honors
St. Louis- Fontbonne University sophomore softball players Danni
Glixman and Cassi Glixman (St. Louis, MO/Parkway North)
have been named to the Jewish Sports Review All-America First-Team
for the second year in a row. The Glixman sisters are the youngest
players selected to this year's first-team squad representing NCAA
Divisions II, III and the NAIA. Selections were made without
National Tournament statistics.
Danni led the Griffins in hitting with a .436 batting average and a
team-high 56 RBI's in 45 games. She earned SLIAC
First-Team All-Conference honors, NFCA First-Team All-Region
honors, Pella Regional All-Tournament Team, and NFCA Third-Team
All-American honors.
Cassi hit .410 on the season with 40 RBI's and was also named
to the SLIAC First-Team All-Conference, earning NFCA First-Team
All-Region honors as well.
The Glixman sisters led Fontbonne to a 34-12 record, a SLIAC
regular-season championship, SLIAC Tournament championship and a
berth in the NCAA Div. III National Softball Tournament. The
Griffins achieved their first win in the NCAA Division III National
Tournament since 2005.
