Principia's Lee Ellis Tallies 200th Career Victory

ELSAH, Ill. -- Principia College head women's soccer coach Lee Ellis recorded his 200th career victory on October 5, 2010, with a 2-0 victory on the road at Greenville College.

Although the quest for number 200 ended, the journey started when Ellis joined Principia in 1996. Since then, Coach Ellis has guided 38 different players to all-conference recognition a total of 85 times and has compiled a record of 200-81-10. He has earned Coach of the Year honors 7 times in his 14 seasons and led the Panthers into the NCAA Tournament twice. The distinction that probably stands out the most during his tenure is the prestigious National Soccer Coaches Association Team Academic Award. Under Coach Ellis, Principia has won this award for the past 13 consecutive seasons – only two other programs have accomplished this feat among all divisions nationally.

Lee Ellis is also Director of Athletics for Principia.
