Westminster's Cornelson Invited To Inaugural D III All-Star Hoops Invitational

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster senior Kenna Cornelson was invited to participate in the inaugural D III All-Star Hoops Invitational on May 3-5, 2013 in Salem, Va.

The D III All-Star Hoops Invitational is a college basketball showcase where the best of the best NCAA D-III athletes compete in a round-robin tournament. The Invitational weekend was founded to celebrate the lifelong journey in basketball and prepare athletes for the next level.

Cornelson was described as a leader both on and off the court for the Blue Jays. "Kenna was very beneficial for us, especially late in the season. Her management of the team and the game gave us confidence and composure in late game situations. She deserves this honor," said Westminster's Head Coach Tracey Braden.

While this invitation is a great honor, Cornelson has declined attendance to the Invitational. Cornelson is a member of the Westminster Softball team, and they are in the running to participate in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Softball Tournament during the same weekend.
