Webster University Director of Athletics, Scott Kilgallon, has announced the hiring of Maureen Burt as the Assistant Athletic Director. Burt is set to start on Monday, August 29th.

"We are excited to have Maureen join our team at Webster University." Said Kilgallon. "I look forward to working closely with her to meet our goal of providing a quality experience for our student-athletes. I know Maureen will be a great asset for the Athletics Department supporting our staff, coaches, and myself to continue to have a program the University can be proud of in the development of our student-athletes."

Burt comes to Webster University with vast experience working in collegiate athletic departments including stops at Villanova (Pa.) University, Colgate (N.Y.) University, James Madison (Va.) Burt's latest stop was with Step Up for Students where she was a Remote Manager for Talent and Compensation. Prior to that, Burt worked as a Remote Compensation Analyst at the University of Cincinnati.

"I would like to thank Scott Kilgallon, Director of Athletics, Amy O'Brien, outgoing Assistant Athletic Director, and the search committee for this opportunity." Said Burt. "Growing up down the road in Glendale, I have always known about Webster University and its world-class programs. As a graduate of Loras (Iowa) College, I have always been committed to the Division III philosophy and I am excited to return to this level of competition and focus on the student-athlete. I look forward to working with Scott, our coaches, staff, and student-athletes to enhance both the student-athlete and employee experience at Webster. I am thrilled to be back in St. Louis and cannot wait to get started!"

Burt graduated Cum Laude from Loras (Iowa) College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Science. She then received her Masters of Education in Sports Administration from Wichita State (Kan.) University.
