Payton Whitehead, Westminster College Whitehead hit .538 over the Blue Jays' opening week, helping them to a pair of wins. He finished with seven hits, three runs batted in, and three stolen bases in three games. The junior shortstop picked up multiple hits in all three games with a high of three against Millsaps. He also finished with a perfect fielding percentage on 11 chances. |

Wesley Clark, Spalding University Clark, a junior, started his season with an impressive relief performance against DePauw. He came on in the 3rd inning to work 6 2/3 innings, allowing just one hit while striking out seven to pick up the win. |

| Softball Hitter of the Week | ||

Mia Boyd, Greenville University The sophomore infielder batted .667 in two games over the weekend, finishing with four runs batted in and a 1.167 slugging percentage. Boyd picked up two hits in both games including a home run against Monmouth. She was 4-for-6 with two runs scored on the week. |

Alison Klaus, Greenville University Klaus won her season opener, a 3-1 decision over Hanover. The senior worked 7 innings, allowing just three hits and no earned runs. She struck out nine batters in the game, picking up the complete game win. |
