Paulson Selected D3hoops.com All-Central Region (March 12, 2019)
Principia College senior Micah Paulson was named to the D3hoops.com 2019 All-Central Region team. Paulson was named to the Third Team and was the only representative from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.....MORE

Adams and Martin Honored by D3hoops.com (March 12, 2019)
Kendahl Adams and Alex Martin were honored by D3hoops.com as All-Central Region performers for the 2018-19 season in women's basketball. This is the second straight year that Adams has earned All-Region honors while Martin is just the second player in SLIAC history to earn a spot on the All-Region First Team.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

The Beavers baseball team is in the midst of their spring break trip. They have five more games before returning home on Saturday. Steven Diaz is on a roll to start the season, hitting .438 with 4 RBI and 5 runs in his teams first six games.

Eureka College

Eureka baseball opened their 2019 season with a doubleheader sweep of Northland last week, marking the first time in nearly 20 years they have opened a season with a doubleheader sweep. The Red Devils, 2-1 overall, have a three-game series against Sewanee this week.

Fontbonne University

The Fontbonne baseball team is off to an 11-1 start this season and are receiving votes in the latest D3baseball.com poll. The Griffins have been led by the pitching/hitting combo of Luke Summers and Jonathan Hoevelmann; who took the SLIAC Pitcher and Hitter of the Week awards this week.

Greenville University

Greenville University was chosen as the 2019 SLIAC Men's Track and Field preseason favorites by the league coaches. The Panthers picked up 24 total points and four first-place votes as they look to defend their two-time SLIAC title.

Iowa Wesleyan University

The Iowa Wesleyan softball team is off to a 4-2 start on their trip to South Carolina. The Tigers picked up a 13-0 win over Centenary (N.J.) as Morgan Christner recorded the shutout in the circle, allowing just three hits while striking out 12.

MacMurray College

The MacMurray baseball team notched their first win of the season last Friday, defeating Robert Morris 14-1. The Highlanders pounded out 17 hits in the game with Mason Hale leading the way. Hale went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI and missed hitting for the cycle by a double.

Principia College

The softball team picked up a sweep of Harris-Stowe yesterday, moving their season record to 3-1. The Panthers won game one 7-6 behind a four-hit game from Hannah Hathaway and took game two 10-6 as Christina Redington led the team with three hits.

Spalding University

Spalding softball swept the SLIAC weekly honors as Abby Booker was named the Hitter of the Week and Chloe Skorija was named the Pitcher of the Week. Booker hit .500 on the week with 2 RBI, including the game-tying and game-winning RBI against Medaille. Skorija notched a win in her collegiate debut, allowing one run in seven innings while striking out two.

Webster University

The Webster University women's track and field team were selected as the preseason favorites in the 2019 SLIAC poll. The Gorloks received 24 points, with four first-place votes, and will attempt to defend last year's conference championship.

Westminster College

Westminster senior women's basketball guard was selected as one of 18 All-Stars to participate in the inaugural Beyond Sports Women's Collegiate All-Star Game presented by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.....MORE
