Mental Health and Wellness: Stress Coping

Mental Health and Wellness: Stress Coping

Mental Health and Wellness is a growing concern, particularly in the time of a pandemic. This past spring the NCAA launched a new Mental Health and Wellness campaign to serve as a platform for student-athletes, administrators, coaches, staff, and support networks across the country. The campaign was started to begin a discussion, speak out on, and break the stigma surrounding mental health.

In conjunction with the NCAA's year-long campaign, the SLIAC will be releasing weekly talks with Dr. Dawn Graff-Haight over the next few weeks. Our goal is to not only provide a starting point to begin talks on mental health and wellness but to offer tips and ways to cope with numerous issues.

This session talks about coping in the time of COVID. Dr. Dawn Graff-Haight talks about how to deal with everyday stress and emotions, which have become even more intense during 2020. Learn a wide variety of coping skills and how to control your stress and emotions. Please come back each Wednesday for more tips and tools in learning more about Mental Health and Wellness.
