The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) is pleased to announce a special event for its Diversity and Inclusion campaign, featuring speaker Tara Fuller. The event will be held via Zoom conference call and is open to all student-athletes, staff members, and campuses within the SLIAC. The speaking engagement will be held on Sunday, February 28th at 7 p.m.

Fuller will speak on how to embrace differences, making difficult conversations accessible through sharing her own stories of seeking to belong. Fuller's topics include diversity, fraternity and sorority life, leadership, and LGBTQ+. During her presentation, the audience will learn why language matters and the ABCs of inclusion. 

She is passionate about understanding others who are different. Fuller was adopted as an infant, has been challenged by mental illness, and identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community. She has worked in higher education and student affairs for various campuses across the nation, including formerly at Westminster College, and currently serves as the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at Monmouth University in New Jersey. 

This is the inaugural speaking engagement put forth by the SLIAC Diversity and Inclusion task force. The SLIAC is committed to enhancing transformational growth opportunities for student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. Our aim is to help educate and support a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community that is respectful, safe, and open to all.
