Diamond Sports Baseball Hitter of the Week
 

Daniel Youngblood, Fontbonne University

Youngblood exploded on Saturday in a doubleheader sweep of Nebraska-Wesleyan. The senior infielder drove in 10 runs in the two games including a seven RBI outburst in game one. In that game, he finished 4-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored. On the week Youngblood was 6-for-14, a .429 average, with three runs scored and 10 RBI. He added one stolen base and a .857 slugging percentage.

 
Diamond Sports Baseball Pitcher of the Week  
 

Matt Mulhearn, Webster University

Mulhearn started the season in mid-season form, throwing eight shutout innings and picking up the win over Wartburg. The senior hurler struck out 14 batters, walking none, and allowed just two hits. 

 
Men's Basketball Player of the Week  
 

Ian Milsteadt, Eureka College

Milsteadt poured in the points for the Red Devils last week; averaging 29.5 points in two games. The senior guard shot 54-percent from the field on the week, hitting on 50-percent of his three-pointers, and averaged 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. He put up 33 points, on 5-of-8 threes, in leading Eureka to a win over Fontbonne and added a double-double against Illinois College.

 
Women's Basketball Player of the Week  
 

Emily Reinneck, Greenville University

Reinneck helped the Panthers to a pair of conference wins, averaging 21.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. The sophomore guard put up 26 points and 10 rebounds with three assists in a win over Webster. She followed with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals against Spalding. On the week Reinneck shot 50-percent from the field including hitting on 7-of-13 three-pointers while totaling four assists and four steals.

 
Men's Tennis Player of the Week  
 

Daniel Gomez, Principia College

Gomez, a senior from Bogota, Columbia, rolled off four wins for the Panthers last week. He picked up two thrilling wins over D2 schools at the #1 singles spot. He defeated Maryville's top player 6-2, 5-7, 6-1 and followed with a 7-6 (5), 7-6 (10) win over Lindenwoods top player. Gomez also teamed with Wyatt Dale to pick up a pair of wins as the Panthers' #1 doubles team.

 
Softball Hitter of the Week  
 

Abby Richmond, Fontbonne University

Richmond, a junior from Ballwin, Mo., hit .571 with four runs batted in and two runs scored during the Griffins' season-opening weekend. She picked up a hit in both games on the weekend including going 3-for-3 against Concordia-Chicago. 

 
Softball Pitcher of the Week  
 

Lexi Becker, Fontbonne University

Becker appeared in both of the Griffins games this past weekend, recording a win over Concordia-Chicago. The junior worked three innings, allowing one earned run with three strikeouts in the victory. On the week she threw five innings, carrying a 1.40 earned-run average in her two outings.

 
Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week  
   

Natalie Needy, Westminster College

Needy wins her second straight weekly award after helping the Blue Jays to a pair of conference wins last week. The senior totaled 22 kills while hitting .543 in her two matches. She had a high of 13 kills against Eureka. Needy also added six aces and seven blocks, totaling 32.5 points for the week.

 
Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week  
 

Amanda Swedberg, Blackburn College

Swedberg, a sophomore, led the Beavers defensively last week; averaging 5.55 digs per set in three matches. She tallied 22 digs in a win over Eureka, chipping in with two aces during the three-set sweep. She upped that total later in the week with a high of 27 digs in a five-set match against Spalding.

  • Andrew Boessen, Westminster College (Baseball) Recorded a pair of saves, allowing just three hits while striking out seven in four innings pitched.
  • Mia Bonacorsi, Greenville University (Volleyball) Averaged 3.0 kills and 3.14 digs per set in two conference victories.
  • Rodson Etienne, Webster University (Men's Basketball) Recorded 28 points and 9 rebounds against Greenville, shooting 13-for-14 from the floor.
  • Kyra Gensel, Webster University (Volleyball) Averaged 5.3 digs per set in three matches on the week.
  • Anthony Jones, Fontbonne University (Men's Basketball) Recorded 27 points and 5 steals against Eureka.
  • Shelby Kurtz, Westminster College (Women's Basketball) Scored 17 points in just 16 minutes off the bench.
  • Eric Meyer, Spalding University (Baseball) Had six hits and four RBI in three games.
  • Ali Spohr, Webster University (Volleyball) Recorded a triple-double in a win over Spalding with 15 kills, 16 assists, and 11 digs.
  • Javon Stovall, Blackburn College (Men's Basketball) Finished with 21 points, shooting 8-of-11 from the field with four steals in a win over Iowa Wesleyan.
  • Luke Summers, Fontbonne University (Baseball) Threw six scoreless innings, striking out seven and allowing just two hits.
  • Braeden Wetich, Westminster College (Men's Basketball) Scored 23 points, hitting 6-of-8 three's in a win over Fontbonne.
  • Payton Whitehead, Westminster College (Baseball) Hit .467 with 5 RBI in a three-game sweep of Buena Vista.
