Diamond Sports Baseball Hitter of the Week
 

Zach Goodman, Webster University

Goodman led the #2 ranked Gorloks to a 4-0 week, sweeping Greenville. The sophomore hit .583 over the game series, going 7-for-12 at the plate. He drove in seven runs and scored three times while hitting one home run and stealing one base. On the week he finished with a .917 slugging percentage anda  .647 on-base percentage. He tallied a hit in all four games including a three hit performance in game three.

 
Diamond Sports Baseball Pitcher of the Week  
 

Luke Summers, Fontbonne University

Summers picked up a complete game shutout win over Westminster. He worked 9 innings, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out 9 batters. He finished the game with 343 career strikeouts, becoming the all-time strikeout leader in SLIAC history.

 
Men's Tennis Player of the Week  
 

Wyatt Dale, Principia College

Dale, a senior, rolled off four wins last week for the Panthers. He picked up wins at #2 singles over Westminster and Webster, blanking Westminster in the set. He also added doubles wins with Daniel Gomez at the #1 spot. Dale's only losses on the week came against WashU.

 
Women's Tennis Player of the Week  
   

Addison Brannon, Greenville University

Returning from a three-week lay-off Brannon recorded three wins on the week for Greenville. The freshman won both of her singles matches at the #2 spot, winning 6-4, 7-5 against Webster and 1-6,7-5,10-6 against Illinois Wesleyan. She also added a #1 doubles win, 8-4, over Illinois Wesleyan.

 

Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

 
 

Francisco Javier Saldana, Iowa Wesleyan University

Saldana led the Tigers to a pair of wins last week. He scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over Greenville, finishing with two shots on goal in the contest. The Tigers then topped Principia 2-1 as he lead the attack with six shots, including three on goal.

 
Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week  
 

Matt Amick, Webster University

Amick allowed just one goal in 180-minutes of action over two games last week, finishing with a 0.50 goals-against average. The senior recorded seven saves and finished with a .875 save percentage with two wins on the week. His shutout against Eureka is the 18th in his career, tying the school record.

 
Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Natalie Schulte, Westminster College

The senior forward was responsible for both of her team's goals in a 2-0 win over Spalding. Schulte buried her 8th and 9th goals of the season in the win, tying her for the conference lead and giving her 20 total points this spring.

 
Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week  
 

Mary Beers, Fontbonne University

Beers continues to shine as the last line of defense for the Griffins. The senior recorded her 8th shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over Spalding, stopping both shots she faced. The win also secured the first ever unbeaten conference record in program history.

 
Softball Hitter of the Week  
 

Patience Vandermierden, Fontbonne University

Vandermierden, a sophomore infielder, hit .727 over four games for the Griffins last week. She finished 8-for-11 at the plate, scoring four times. She also swiped five bases and finished the week with a .750 on-base percentage. Vandermierden had multiple hits in three of the games including a 3-for-3 game in the series finale against Webster.

 
Softball Pitcher of the Week  
 

Kirbie Mendenhall, Webster University

Mendenhall made three apperances last week for the Gorloks, finishing with a 3-0 record and a 1.29 earned-run average. She totaled 16 1/3 innings of work, striking out 9. She came on in relief against Eureka, throwing 4 1/3 innings, and holding the opponent at bay; allowing the Gorloks to pick up the win. She also notched wins in her starts against Fontbonne and the finale of another series against Eureka.

 
Men's Field Athlete of the Week  
   

Justin Miller, Greenville University

Miller, a freshman, had a personal best day at the GU Select Meet. Competing in the javelin, he picked up 1st place with a distance of 162'9". That throw was over 22-feet further than his previous best this season. 

 
Men's Track Athlete of the Week  
 

Quinn Heinbaugh, Principia College

Heinbaugh took first-place in the 800 meter run at the GU Select Meet. He finished in a time of 1:55.72, the top time in the conference this season by over two-seconds.

 
Women's Field Athlete of the Week  
 

Avylina Powel-Qualo, Westminster College

Fresh off basketball season the sophomore placed first in the high jump at the GU Select Meet. She had a winning height of 5'4.25", the top mark in the conference this season and 17th best in Division III.

 

Women's Track Athlete of the Week

 
 

Allison Morris, Iowa Wesleyan University

Morris, a junior, ran her way to a 2nd place showing in the 10,000 meter run at the William Penn Invitational. Morris finished in a time of 44:20.62, second best in program history and the top time in the SLIAC this spring.

  • Erin Brezovar, Webster University (Tennis) Rolled off seven wins on the week, going 4-0 in singles play.
  • Abby Burroughs, Webster University (Softball) Hit .524 with 6 RBI in six games.
  • Caleb Collins, Spalding University (Baseball) Threw 8 innings, allowing just one earned run, while striking out 7 against #1 ranked WashU.
  • Michaela Mason, Fontbonne University (Softball) Picked up two wins in the circle with a 0.64 earned-run average.
  • Matt Mulhearn, Webster University (Baseball) Threw 8 innings of one-hit ball in a win over Greenville, striking out 10.
  • Mackenzie Myers, Westminster College (Softball) Was 4-for-5 with 3 RBI in a doubleheader against Fontbonne.
  • Carson Rantanen, Greenville University (Track and Field) Won two events (100 dash and 200 dash) and placed 2nd in 4x100 relay.
  • Tawny Rodriguez, Greenville University (Track and Field) Placed first in the shot put and second in the discus.
  • Wisdom Thomas, Principia College (Track and Field) Took 1st in the long jump and currently ranks 12th in Division III.
