Men's Basketball Player of the Week
 

Marcus Montgomery, Spalding University

Montgomery started 2020 with a record-setting performance for Spalding, scoring 55 points in the Golden Eagles home contest against Greenville. Montgomery, a junior guard from Louisville, Ky., set a new SLIAC record for points in a conference game, surpassing the previous mark of 53. Montgomery tallied his 55 points on 23-of-33 shooting, knocking down five three's and going 4-of-6 from the free-throw line. During three games over the break, he averaged 24.0 points per game, connecting on 7 three-pointers and adding five assists and two steals.

Olivia Falls, Eureka College

Falls opens the new year with her 3rd SLIAC Womens' Basketball Player of the Week award this season. The sophomore guard recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds while helping Eureka to a 93-58 win over MacMurray. Falls finished 7-of-9 from the field and knocked down 6-of-7 free-throw attempts. Four of her rebounds came on the offensive end and she added three assists in the game as well.

  • Dakota Bennington, Eureka College (Men's Basketball) Averaged 24.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in two wins for the Red Devils.
  • Alex Dentlinger, Iowa Wesleyan University (Men's Basketball) Scored a career-high 36 points against Blackburn, setting a new school record with 11 three-point field goals.
  • Karson Hayes, Blackburn College (Men's Basketball) Tallied 38 points, with 7 three's, against East Texas Baptist. 
  • Savannah Kruse, Blackburn College (Women's Basketball) Averaged 16.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while being named to the LeTourneau All-Tournament team.
  • Nikki Matters, Principia College (Women's Basketball) Put up 24 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists against Westminster.
  • Kendyl Powell, Spalding University (Women's Basketball) Recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds in just 16 minutes of action against Greenville.
  • Enrique Tankins, Webster University (Men's Basketball) Finished with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals in a win over Fontbonne.
