Marcus Montgomery, Spalding University Montgomery started 2020 with a record-setting performance for Spalding, scoring 55 points in the Golden Eagles home contest against Greenville. Montgomery, a junior guard from Louisville, Ky., set a new SLIAC record for points in a conference game, surpassing the previous mark of 53. Montgomery tallied his 55 points on 23-of-33 shooting, knocking down five three's and going 4-of-6 from the free-throw line. During three games over the break, he averaged 24.0 points per game, connecting on 7 three-pointers and adding five assists and two steals. |

Women's Basketball Player of the Week | ||
Olivia Falls, Eureka College Falls opens the new year with her 3rd SLIAC Womens' Basketball Player of the Week award this season. The sophomore guard recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds while helping Eureka to a 93-58 win over MacMurray. Falls finished 7-of-9 from the field and knocked down 6-of-7 free-throw attempts. Four of her rebounds came on the offensive end and she added three assists in the game as well. |
