SLIAC 30 for 30: Lee McKinney
When one thinks of Fontbonne University athletics, the first name to come to mind is Lee McKinney. McKinney served as the athletic director and head men's basketball coach for the Griffins, finishing as the program's all-time wins leader. He was instrumental in not only helping grow Fontbonne University but also in the formation of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. His values on and off the court remain alive today in the form of the SLIAC Distinguished Service Award. As a part of the SLIAC 30 for 30 series celebrating the conference's 30th anniversary; here is Lee McKinney's story.
