Kaiser Appointed to D3 Baseball Championship Committee
St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Commissioner, Dr. Dick Kaiser has been appointed to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship Committee. He will serve as part of the nine-member team that is responsible for overseeing the NCAA Division III Baseball Championships.
"I am thrilled to be appointed to the D-III Baseball Committee," said Kaiser. "Most everyone knows that I am a huge baseball fan and last year I attended two days of the D-3 tournament in Iowa and it was terrific. I have been fortunate to be part of three other NCAA championship committees and they are always a great experience. It's been nearly 15 years since my last experience on an NCAA championship committee so I'm looking forward to meeting new people and once again being a part of a championship experience."
Committee members are responsible for making budgetary recommendations, supervising qualification and/or selection procedures for the championship, and act as final authority regarding championship matters subject to appeal as well as other duties as determined. This is a four-year appointment and Kaiser will begin serving this fall on September 1, 2020.
Kaiser recently completed his second year as the Commissioner of the SLIAC.
