Alumni Update:

Welcome to an exciting new season, Panther Baseball Family!  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to coach this outstanding group of young men and look forward to getting to know those of you that are part of this programs history as we continue to build on the foundation set by you all in the past.

We picked up our first win of the season in game two against Crowley's Ridge College in Paragould, AR, this last weekend.  After a rough offensive start to the season, the bats came through to push across eight runs and helped earn our first victory.  Pitching started strong and has continued through this last weekend.  Junior, Sawyer Grow, and sophomore, Aleq McMullin, have both been excellent on the mound.  Grow kept the Pioneers scoreless through his five innings of work.

Satellite hitting coach, Pete Paciorek, has been working with each player through Dartfish, a sports analysis video system, to improve their swings.  The ball has jumped off our bats but it seemed every ball hit in game one this weekend, was right at a Pioneer defender.  After a heartbreaking 1-0 loss in extra innings, we jumped out to an early lead in game two. Connor Coyne lead the charge with two doubles.  David Giorlando tallied his first collegiate hit with an RBI double to right center.  Freshmen, Zach Grennie knocked a solo blast to left to put the game out of the Pioneer's reach, and Alex Stamos shut the door in the bottom of the seventh.

The Panthers graduated three key starters (Christian Thomas, Dallen Russell, and Gavin Thomas) last year and with several more choosing not to return, the Panthers will look to develop and incorporate its young talent over the course of the season.  The next games will be during our Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach, SC.  Graduate Assistant/Assistant Coach Scott Ross continues to do a phenomenal job with the postgame write-ups to keep you all up to date!

With the home opener less than three weeks away, we want to invite you back out to the ballpark this season, hopefully sporting a new panther hoodie or jacket!
